Complete shutter down, wheel jam observed in Balochistan

QUETTA: A complete strike and wheel jam was observed on Friday in Baloch dominated districts of Balochistan on the call given by the Baloch National
Front on the eve of World Violence Day.
However, partial strike was observed in some other districts including capital Quetta.
The Baloch National Front had called for strike in Balochistan on the eve of World Violence Day, observed on Friday throughout the world.
In Quetta, sources said that complete strike was observed in Siryab Road, Barori Road, Sabzal Road and Kalli Ismail, while partial strike was
experienced in other parts of the city.
According to sources, traffic was less than routine traffic and some unknown pelted stones at Rickshaw and broke its windowpanes. Rickshaw driver,
Noor Mohammad was injured when stone hit him.
Besides Quetta, complete shutter down and strike was observed in Khuzdar, Mastung, Kalat, Wad, Awaran, Panjgur, Turbat, Gawadar, Dalbadin,
Nushki and other Baloch areas but no untoward incident was reported.
The government had placed strict security arrangements to get rid of any untoward incident.
Officials of Frontier Corps, Balochistan Constabulary, Anti-Terrorist Force and Police were deployed at all important roads, while FC and police patrolled
the areas the whole day.
The Police and Anti-Terrorist Force searched people by placing barricades at several places.
