Baloch Society Of North America (BSO-NA)
Baloch Society Of North America (BSO-NA)  is working to unite and Organize all Baloch in North America and to
expose the Occupation of our land (Balochistan)  and  exploitations of our resources by  Pakistani and Iranian
Governments, and to bring their Human Rights Violations in Balochistan into the world’s Notice.
Zakir Baloch is the Senior Vice chairman of Baloch Vanguard student organization, BSO-Azaad. He was travelling with his other two friends, where he
was snatched away on June 7th, 2009.

Last month three Baloch leaders were also kidnapped from their lawyer’s office in Turbat and three days later their bodies were found  at Peedark,
near Turbat. Their killing sparked violent protest across Balochistan. Balochistan High Court setup an judicial inquiry in to the incident but so for no
development has been made. US and UN also condemned the killings of three Baloch leaders. Recently supreme judge Mr. Choudry Iftkhar took
notice of the incident and  ordered an inquiry into the matter. Baloch Nation and the family member of the victims still awaits for the culprits to be
arrested and justice to be served.

Balochistan, once an independent state was forcefully annexed into Pakistan by force on March 27, 1948 by Pakistani terrorist army, is going through
its fifth war of independence and Baloch . Since the occupation of Baloch land Pakistan has been treating Baloch citizen as 3rd class citizen. Baloch
resources are being looted and plundered by Pakistani army at gun point.  Balochistan is richest in Natural resources but its people are living in stone
age. The mortality rate is the highest in the world. Education, health and infrastructures are non existing.

Baloch people are fighting for their independence and are asking for international intervention.

Missing’ Baloch leader’s family hold demo at
Karachi Press Club

The next-of-kin of Zakir Baloch, including his sister Farzana Majeed, cousins and children held a protest demonstration in front of Karachi Press Club
(KPC) for the recovery of Zakir who is “missing” since June 8, 2009. Zakir Baloch is Senior Vice- Chairman, Baloch Students Organisation (Azad).

“My brother Zakir had gone to Mastung on an organisational trip of the BSO,” his elder sister Farzana Majeed told The News. “Two other BSO activists
Waheed Murad and Abdul Basit were accompanying him. When they reached Piringabad, Mastung, two cars with armed men arrived from somewhere
and kidnapped my brother and his two comrades,” she said.

“They drove away but Abdul Basit and Waheed Murad were released after some 15 minutes while my brother remains in custody by these unknown
people since June 8, 2009,” she said.

The ordeal of the family continues despite specific orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan that security agencies should produce “missing” people.
The act is also a blatant violation of assurances given by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani that “missing” people would be released so that it brings
solace to the impoverished people of Balochistan and mitigates the deep sense of alienation among the Baloch people, especially its youth.

Needless to mention here that certain lobbies are bent upon creating cleavages between the people of Balochistan and the Punjab and are not ready to
listen even to specific orders of Prime Minister Gilani and the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhri.
