In 1948, Soon after the creation of Pakistan, Pakistan invaded the
sovereign independent state of Balochistan and forcefully
annexed it into Pakistan. Balochistan, rich in oil, gas and
minerals with a 900 miles of strategically located warm water
coastline is under the Pakistani illegal occupation for the last 60
years. Ever since, the Baloch people have fought and are still are
fighting against the illegal occupation of their land and the
exploitations of their resources  to restore their freedom back.
Thousands Baloch have died in this war. Many are missing and
thousand Baloch families including women and children have
been made homeless due to Pakistani bombardments and they
are living under harsh conditions.

Shortly after the murder of top Baloch nationalist leader Nawab
Akbar Khan Bugti by Pakistani military in Aug 2006, Khan of Kalat
Mir Suleman Daud Khan called upon the "Grand Balochi Jirga",
which was attended by all Baloch tribal leaders, Political
activists, and students. The Grand Balochi Jirga (gathering)  
denounced the Pakistani military operation in Balochistan and
extra judicial killing of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and they
unanimously made a declaration to challenge the illegal
occupation of Balochistan at the International Court of Justice
(ICJ)  in the Hague.   >> MORE

END THE OCCUPATION OF BALOCHISTAN: Down with Pakistan and Iran
QUETTA:  March 27, 2008. Thousands of Baloch men, women and children marched through the street of Capital city of
Pakistani occupied Balochistan, Quetta and all over Balochistan to protest on the  60th anniversary of Pakistani illegal
occupation of Balochistan. They were chanting slogan "End the occupation of Balochistan, "Down with Pakistan", "Down with
Iran", "We want freedom". The country of Balochistan was a free independent sovereign state until it was occupied and
annexed into Pakistan by force on March 27th, 1948 by Pakistan military. Since then Balochs are fighting for their
